Intellectual Property

Nextronics' intellectual property management plan centers on MATICs, the Company's five operating objectives, focusing on five application markets: medical, aerospace/defense, transportation, industrial, and cloud/communications. We build depth in core technologies including high-speed transmission, thermal components, circular connectors, mechatronic system integration and crimped products, while actively building a portfolio in AI-related emerging fields such as humanoid robots, CDU cooling modules, defense and drones, using intellectual property to protect R&D results and secure market competitiveness.

Intellectual Property and Trade Secret Management

To continue strengthening our IP capabilities, the Company regularly holds intellectual property training for new employees and managers, covering IP fundamentals, related laws, applications and renewals, licensing agreements and infringement assessment, and continues to refine its electronic drawing approval workflow and trade secret management mechanisms.

Sustainable Supply Chain

Green Procurement and Conflict Minerals Policy

The Company follows relevant international standards, laws and regulations, incorporating green sustainability into product life cycle assessment and management, and commits to extending its sustainability efforts beyond the Company itself to partners who share the same values.

As a member of the electronics industry supply chain, in addition to complying with EICC standards, we guarantee and undertake not to use or purchase conflict minerals originating from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and similar regions. The Company also practices responsible procurement, working with suppliers to sign declarations that implement our conflict-free minerals procurement policy and comply with restricted substances requirements for green products (RoHS).

Supplier Sustainability Management Policy

Nextronics regards suppliers as key partners in sustainable growth. Our supplier management policy follows the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct, treating suppliers' labor and human rights, occupational health and safety, environmental protection and business ethics (including information security and privacy protection) as risk control priorities. Suppliers are required to sign the Supplier Code of Conduct and Social Responsibility Commitment, undertaking to comply with the laws and regulations where they operate. Through the Responsible Minerals Procurement Declaration and the Restricted Substances Compliance Declaration, we ensure compliance with RoHS and EU REACH/SVHC requirements, building sustainable procurement partnerships.

Supplier Sustainability Management Process
  • New supplier selection:Basic review and evaluation using the supplier assessment form; environmental and social impact assessment (labor rights, health and safety, environment) before onboarding; procurement contracts signed to secure delivery, quality and warranty requirements.

  • Signing of sustainability commitments:Supplier Code of Conduct and Social Responsibility Commitment; Responsible Minerals Procurement Declaration; Restricted Substances Compliance Declaration (RoHS/REACH/SVHC); CSR clauses included in contracting agreements.

  • Audit and guidance for existing suppliers:Regular supplier assessments and annual on-site audits; suppliers scoring poorly are required to submit corrective actions with follow-up guidance; contracts may be terminated or rescinded for serious CSR violations.

Policy Commitments and Implementation
  • 100% responsible minerals procurement: we undertake not to use or purchase conflict minerals and implement a conflict-free minerals procurement policy.

  • 100% of major supplier contracts include CSR clauses (including termination for violations).

Supplier Audit System

Beyond suppliers' technical capability, quality, delivery and price competitiveness, the Company conducts regular supplier audits as part of its corporate social responsibility, with the aim of working with suppliers to prioritize labor and human rights, environmental protection, health and safety, business ethics and related management procedures, and to build a sustainable supply chain together.

When certifying new suppliers, the Company assesses environmental and social impacts, covering labor rights, health and safety and environmental impact. Regular supplier assessments confirm that production processes meet environmental requirements, reflecting a shared social responsibility to provide safe products. Contracts with major suppliers also state that the Company may terminate or rescind the contract at any time if the supplier violates CSR policies with a significant environmental or social impact.

Supplier Compliance and Implementation
  • Environmental topics: Suppliers are required to comply with RoHS and REACH/SVHC restricted substances requirements and our conflict-free minerals policy. New suppliers undergo environmental assessment before onboarding, and existing suppliers are included in regular assessments and audits. 8 suppliers were audited in 2025, all passing every environment-related item.

  • Occupational safety, labor rights, cybersecurity and privacy: Under the RBA Code of Conduct, suppliers are required to prohibit child labor and forced labor, uphold working hours, wages and humane treatment, and establish occupational safety, emergency response and industrial hygiene management, while safeguarding identity confidentiality and privacy as part of business ethics. These requirements form part of the assessment items in the table at right and the annual audit; serious violations may result in contract termination.
