Greenhouse Gas Inventory and Energy Management
Greenhouse gas management strategy, methods and targets
In line with the sustainable development roadmap for listed companies, Nextronics obtained ISO 14067 product carbon footprint certification in 2023 for connector and electronic packaging products at its Taiwan plants, and has begun ISO 14064-1 greenhouse gas inventory work at overseas operating sites, completing ISO 14064-1 certification for the China region in 2025.
Nextronics' Strategy for Addressing Climate Change and Greenhouse Gas Management
Alongside the establishment of an energy management system (ISO 50001), we continuously improve management performance through monitoring, measurement, analysis and corrective action. We also plan company-wide ESG training to embed awareness of energy and resource use and to comply with energy and environmental laws and regulations. The Company publicly discloses its energy, environmental and greenhouse gas management policies, promoting energy and environmental principles among all stakeholder groups
Corporate Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction Targets
Because the operational boundary changed in 2024, the base year has been reset to 2024 in accordance with the significance threshold rules.
For greenhouse gas emissions, Nextronics has set near-term targets with reference to SBTi science-based targets: a 15% reduction in energy intensity by 2030 and a 20% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions against the base year. Our long-term target is net-zero emissions, helping to keep global warming within 1.5°C.
Greenhouse Gas Management Governance Structure
- Board level: a Sustainability Committee has been established to oversee ESG implementation and report progress to the Board annually
- Management level: the Sustainable Development Group coordinates cross-departmental emission reduction actions
- Operational level: each plant appoints an energy manager responsible for EMS data maintenance and energy-saving proposals
- External disclosure: a sustainability report (GRI) is published annually, with data third-party verified under ISO 14064-1

Natural Carbon Sink Strategy and Disclosure
In line with the National Development Council's "Key Strategy Action Plan for Natural Carbon Sinks in Taiwan's 2050 Net-Zero Transition", the Company has developed corresponding strategies across the three domains of forests, soil and oceans (wetlands). As our plant land is already highly developed, our participation at this stage is primarily through external charitable sponsorship and public-private collaboration, coordinated by the Chief Sustainability Officer, and will be formally added to the Sustainability Committee's agenda in 2026.
Energy and Resource Management
To deliver on corporate sustainability and reduce the environmental burden of daily operations, Nextronics continues to run comprehensive energy-saving projects across its offices and production sites.
Renewable Energy
Comparing overall energy indicators with revenue highlights Nextronics' green competitiveness even more clearly. In 2025, energy/revenue intensity fell from 1.86 to 1.15 (per NT$ million), demonstrating that while pursuing economic returns and expanding the business, Nextronics has outstanding carbon control and energy management capability, moving steadily toward a low-carbon operating vision.
