Water Resources and Waste

Water Resource Management

Water at all Nextronics operating sites comes from the local municipal water supply and is used mainly for office space and general facility needs at our plants. In the greater Taipei area, water is drawn mainly from the Xinshan and Feitsui Reservoirs. As the Company has no water-intensive processes, discharged water consists only of ordinary domestic wastewater, which is channelled through existing building or park drainage systems into municipal wastewater treatment facilities, with no direct discharge into the natural environment or rivers. At present, water-related inventory, statistics and management are conducted primarily for Taiwan operations.

Based on water data from 2023 to 2025, Nextronics has demonstrated a clear advantage in water management while driving revenue growth: although total water consumption rose moderately as operations expanded, the key indicator of water intensity (water consumption per NT$ million of revenue) fell markedly to 1.28 in 2025. This trend shows that the Company is creating greater economic value with less water, proving the effectiveness of internal water management and highlighting Nextronics' strong operational resilience and competitive advantage in the face of future climate and resource challenges.

Pollution and Waste Management

Nextronics strictly follows the Waste Disposal Act and the requirements of the ISO 14001 environmental management system in implementing waste management, working to reduce waste generated in operations and to prevent potential environmental impacts.
